I've determined I'm going to be an active life-long learner. I crave to know more about myself, my world, my God. With that in mind, several times a week, I plan to post at least one interesting nugget of newly gleaned knowledge, insight, wisdom from that day. It may be trivia. It may be a skill. It may be a life lesson. Whatever.
So, "What, if anything, did I learn today?"
I learned...
...I'm way too haphazard with my weekends. I have to bring them under the same discipline as week days.
...I'm not as disciplined with my week days as I have to be.
...I'm still moved by great art and artistry. I pray that never changes.
...a new word: "troglodyte." And, no, it wasn't used in reference to me.
...even when my confidence in myself is shaken, my faith in my God is actually strengthened.
...I have fallen in love with my best friend, my bride, all over again. And I hope to get to do that every day for the rest of my life.
So, what, if anything, did you learn today?

I learned a better perspective on health, due to a speaker at my Sunday night service, who shared on "biblical physical fitness"
I can't think of much else as far as new information today...hopefully tomorrow will be better! I think I'm going to have to start following your blog now-curious to see what comes out. :)
Thanks for commenting, Susie. I do believe that continuing to learn is a (the?) major factor in truly living abundantly. Even the fundamental scriptural directive to "Be still and know that I am God." To learn is to know, I think. And I also believe that a significant element to learning many things every day is simply to live with intention and to pay attention.
By the way, I saw that you follow Mark Harri's blog. I used to head up marketing for Benson, so for eight years I was 4HIM's marketing guy. The entire group are great men.
Blessings.
I'd agree with you there. I'm on staff with Youth With A Mission, and surrounded by wonderful godly people-trying to become more intentional in learning from the people who I'm surrounded by. :)
Yes, I follow Mark's blog. I keep an eye on Marty & Sheri Magehee's blogs too. :) (LOVED Marty's solo cd, by the way!) I saw them in concert last year-a good group of guys.
God bless. :)
Yes, they are good people. I loved Marty's CD as well. His writing is more introspective and complex than Mark's, but I love that.
Blessinggs.
